Problem solve

Whenever I connect my Bluetooth headphones with my, WiFi stops working or slows down. Why?

Both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signals use the 2.4 GHz band. When both are turned on, the data throughput of Bluetooth will drop sharply, the paired devices will be difficult, the Wi-Fi will be intermittently interrupted, and the network will be limited. At present, there is no way to cure this problem, but you can use the following scheme to temporarily solve some

There are 4 ways to provide, you can refer to the following:

Method 1: Connect to a 5GHz wireless network

Now that you know the problem is in the band conflict, consider buying a dual-band (2.4GHz + 5GHz) router and connecting to a 5GHz Wi-Fi network. This method can completely solve the interference problem. In short, don't use the same frequency band as Bluetooth devices.

Method 2: Replace the Wi-Fi channel

Take the TP-Link router as an example. Log in to the router web management page and find the channel option in Wireless Settings -> Basic Settings and change it to any of 1, 6, and 11. These are 2.4 GHz non-overlapping transmission channels, which are more stable than other channels.

Method 3: Turn on the NIC Bluetooth coexistence function

In the wireless network cards produced in recent years, the Bluetooth coexistence function is supported by finding the Bluetooth Collaboration or Bluetooth Coexistence Mode (name may be different) in the advanced tab of the network adapter properties and set it to enable (Enable) ). Windows will automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi, and the interference with Bluetooth will be alleviated.

Method 4: Keep away from interference sources

Separate the Bluetooth terminal from devices that use the 2.4 GHz band, such as routers, microwave ovens, and cordless phones.

There might be 2 reasons :

  1. You've created a hidden WiFi network - No one will be able to see your WiFi Hotspot in their ‘available network’ list if you've created a hidden network. However, they can connect by manually adding your wifi details in Control Panel (for windows) or WiFi settings (for Android)
  2. You've created a Hotspot with 5 GHz band - This band is not supported by old devices. They can only detect 2.4 GHz band bcoz their adaptor supports only wireless a,b,g and n. You need to have a wireless adaptor which supports wireless ac to be able to detect 5GHz band. Most new devices have wireless ac, so they can detect 5GHz Wi-Fi network.

5GHz band is used by some routers to avoid congestion in WiFi channels. 5GHz band is not provided by all routers. The low price range routers which most people use nowadays only support 2.4GHz band. Channel overlapping thus takes place to a high extent. This leads to problems like slow internet speed and reduced WiFi range due to congestion. So 5GHz band is used to avoid these problems caused by channel overlapping.

Its not random at all. If you leave the “personal hotspot” screen up - it is on. If you put the phone to sleep, or switch screens, it will turn off after a set time - UNLESS active connections are… well active. That doesn’t even ‘connected’. At is to say, if you leave a computer to “sleep” while connected to the hotspot, the iPhone will see that as abandoned, and simply turn off broadcasting the SSID.

You can change this stuff in you please. I could look up the settings, but they should be quite apparent in there somewhere.
